Died: 1349 buried in Maydh, Sanag, Somalia
Sheikh Isaaq has often been given an Arabian lineage but this lineage is the same as that of Yusuf AlKawnayn. His true origins are largely unknown.
Written By: James DahlThese two sons, Abdirahman and Ayub, are in Magado family uterine and so are the sons of Magado as with Ismail(garxajis) and Mohamed (Arab). Abdirahman is infact the youngest son of Magado uterine side, and Subeer-al-Awal(first Subeer in Arabic) is the son of Abdirahman himself and they are not the same person as the author stated. Abdirahma got married to a woman of an Ashraf clan called Suleykha from Awaliya family or subclan in Ethiopia and she produced this son for him. Anyone needing more information on this has to go and visit the ancestral coastal town of Maydh near Erigavo where they will get all Isaaq's archives for more information.
Written By: nassirJames, you said that Sheikh Ishaq abtirsi(lineage) is same as that of Sheikh Yussuf Kowneyn and therefore Sheikh Ishaq's origin is unknown (fake). Let me correct you, it is the other way round and the origin of Sheikh Y. Kowneyn is unknown as he does not have any children he left behind any where in the world and there is no book or Archive left behind by him as to the genealogy or abtirsi of his. As for Isaaq, he left behind a nation of 3.2 million people and his archive hand-written by him exists for facts, this can be found in his burial monastery in Mayd. There are some people out there who are trying to paint our ancestor's history with brush full of shit but they will never succeed in the presence of 3.2 million. By the way James, you look to be naive or rather one-sided to be a historian or researcher by reaching a pretty premature and unrealistic conclusion of such thing without investigating further enough to the discrepancy of the fact and as to who really owns this lineage, therefore you need to go to a college to study enough your field of profession before you can try to take up a real research of the field. One needs re-educating themselves here to evaluate the standard of their knowledge and educational background.

Isaaq is actually a subclan of dir. sheikh isaaq's abtirsi is isaaq maxamed xiniftire maha dir aji irir samaale. The isaaqs have arabizes their lineage for political gains.
Written By: WaraabeThe Garhajis Shiekh Ishaaq ibn Ahmad) is a major sub-clan of the wider Isaaq clan. They are the traditional holders of the Isaaq Sultanate since the 18th century. Its members form a part of the Habar Magaadle confederation, and they contstitute the largest sub-clan of the Isaaq. The Garhajis are divided into two major sub-clans, the Habar Yunis and Eidagale. They are traditionally nomadic pastoralists, merchants and skilled poets. One of the earliest mentions of the Garhajis in Western literature was in the Journal of the Royal Geographical Society of London in 1848, where they are described as a powerful and warlike clan with an abundance of livestock reserves..
Historically the Garhajis took part in the conquest of Abyssinia and were part of the Adal Sultanate and are mentioned in the book Futuh Al-Habash (Conquest of Abyssinia) as the Habar Magaadle along with the Habar Awal, Arap and Ayub clans. The Habar Magaadle are known for producing a historical figure known as Ahmad Gurey bin Husain who was the right-hand man of Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Ghazi.. Garhajis they occupied cities such as hagriesa , buroa, erigabo, berbera, oodweyne, salahlay, maydh , sheekh, ceelafweyn
James Dahl, Sheikh Isaaq wasn't a dir and We Isaaqs do not claim that we are Dirs but we are our own clan.
