Also known as Ousanas, this is the first historically verifiable "King of Aksum". There are earlier kings listed both traditionally and in records but it was probably Ela Amida who actually conquered and unified the area later known as the Empire of Aksum, and it isn't known whether those earlier kings are kings of Aksum or other nearby kingdoms that Ela Amida or his sons Ela Abreha and Ela Asbeha conquered.
