Nicknamed Mauladdawilah because he lived in the hamlet of Yabhar near the tomb of the prophet Hud as. in the eastern part of Hadramaut. Waliyullah Muhammad Mauladdawilah and his followers built a house in the hamlet. So the hamlet of Yabhar, which was initially quiet, became crowded. The hamlet is called ad-Dawilah which means old hamlet. Waliyullah Muhammad was called Mauladdawilah, meaning the leader of Dawilah hamlet. His son named Abdurahman as-Saqqaf also built a city nearby called Yabhar. The first village is called the old Yabhar while the second village is called the new Yabhar. Furthermore, the name Mauladdawilah is reserved for the son of Muhammad Mauladdawilah other than Shaykh Abdurahman as-Saqqaf who has a special title.
Waliyullah Ahmad Mauladdawilah was born in the city of Yabhar. He was blessed with 4 sons, namely: Abdurahman as-Saqqaf, Ali, Abdullah and Alwi.
he died in 1363
