Father: Alwi "Amul Faqih" Mahamed Ali
Sayyid Abd al-Malik Azmatkhan bin Alawi Ammul Faqih migrated from Hadhramaut to India in 14th century AD, earlier than other emigrations from Hadhramaut.
He later married a daughter of Nasirabad nobility and acquired the nickname Azmat Khan. Azmat means noble and was used to recognise his Husseini ancestry, while Khan title was given in order to consider him as part of Indian nobility.
His descendants spread from India to Thailand, Cambodia, Malay, and Indonesia, and would have many hereditary royal titles even to this day.
