Written By: James DahlGaraad Cali iyo kuxigeenkiisa Garaad Diiriye Guure waxay ahaayeen boqorada Soomaali xil haysta oo kaliya ee diideen in ay saxiixaan warqad magangal gumeysi ah / Sultan Ali and his successor Sultan Deria Gure were the only extant Somali monarchs who refused to sign a colonial treaty.
Written By: wakiilkamaatiAlthough there are unverified written reports that the predecessor of Garad Diiriye Guure, Garad Ali died at the hands of officials of the Darawiish kingdom, successor state of Garaadtooyada Dhulbahante. However, since disclosed previously classified reports state that Garad Ali died at the hands of his first degree immediate relatives, going so far as to call it a patricide. The unproven reports of the Darawiish Sultanate's army's culpability was probably an attempt by the British colonial office to sow discord, dissent and confusion within the Daraawiish kingdom of Garad Diiriye Guure, successor state of the Dhulbahante garadate.
